SDARI Event Schedule


Regular Meetings

SDARI meets regularly on the fourth Sunday of each month, from 7 P.M. to 10 P.M., at the Community Room of the La Jolla Village Square shopping complex (8657 Villa La Jolla Drive, Suite 123 -- directions are available below). Meetings generally involve a presentation by a distinguished speaker, followed by an open discussion.

All meetings are free and open to the public, although donations are welcome. For more information, please drop us a line.

Paul Kurtz to give a lecture in San Diego on September 7, 2001

Defending Wisdom in an Irrational World

On September 7, SDARI will host a talk by Professor Emeritus Paul Kurtz, the founder of CSICOP and Council for Secular Humanism. Come and hear one of America's leading intellectuals tell why defending wisdom has never been more important or more difficult.

The program will commence at 7 p.m. on the upper, enclosed deck of the ferry Berkeley, immediately aft of the Star of India, in the San Diego Maritime Museum, 1492 North Harbor Drive, San Diego. For this program only there will be an admission charge: $7.00 for adults and $4.00 for children.

Directions

La Jolla Village Square is located at 8657 Villa La Jolla Drive in La Jolla.

When traveling South on I-5, take the La Jolla Village Drive exit and go West to Villa La Jolla Drive. Make a left, go to the second traffic light, and turn left. The shopping complex will be on your right.

When traveling North on I-5, take the Nobel Drive exit, and go West. Make a left into the parking lot of the shopping complex, which is immediately West of I-5.

There is plenty of free parking, and several restaurants are nearby. The Community Room is Suite 123, on the theater level of the complex.
